The two projects have been expedited amid a political push to clear projects before elections, due in April-May. The Bihar and UP projects will be built by state-run SJVN Ltd and THDC India Ltd, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The finance ministry was previously doubtful about the maiden thermal power forays by the two hydropower generators, given the sizeable non-performing power generation assets in the country.
