It is an endeavour to generate local employment and increase production of higher grade of coal. <\/p>\n<p>Subsidiaries such as Central Coalfields \u2014 which had closed three mines \u2014 and Bharat Coking Coal \u2014 that has many such mines \u2014 are collating data and assessing feasibility. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce ascertained, we would make sure safety issues are addressed and work on receiving environment clearances,\u201d said Gopal Singh, chairman and managing director at Central Coalfields.
