{"id":159932,"date":"2018-05-07T11:51:25","date_gmt":"2018-05-07T11:51:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/?p=159932"},"modified":"2018-05-07T11:51:25","modified_gmt":"2018-05-07T11:51:25","slug":"tata-power-output-at-53556-mus-in-fy18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/tata-power-output-at-53556-mus-in-fy18\/","title":{"rendered":"Tata Power output at 53,556 MUs in FY&#8217;18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tata Power today said it produced 53,556 million units of electricity in financial year 2017-18, registering an increase of 1.9 per cent. <\/p>\n<p>The company generated 52,512 million units of power in 2016-17 from all its units, ranging from thermal to solar, Tata Power said in a statement. <\/p>\n<p>During the March quarter, Tata Power&#8217;s generation stood at 14,255 million units. <\/p>\n<p>As per official data, the country&#8217;s overall power generation is at 1,306.614 billion units (BU), which includes generation from grid connected renewable sources, as compared to 1,241.689 BU produced in 2016-17, it said. <\/p>\n<p>To this, Tata Power&#8217;s contribution stands at four per cent, it added. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is good that we ended the fiscal on a higher generation note. With a commitment to increase our generation output by 40-50 per cent by 2025 through green and clean source of energy, we have developed a well charted growth strategy to fulfill it,&#8221; Tata Power CEO &amp; MD Praveer Sinha said. <\/p>\n<p>Tata Power, together with all its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities, has an installed generation capacity of 10,757 MW (as of May 2018) as compared to 10,613 MW in 2016-17.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tata Power today said it produced 53,556 million units of electricity in financial year 2017-18, registering an increase of 1.9 per cent.
