{"id":15678,"date":"2015-05-20T11:36:30","date_gmt":"2015-05-20T11:36:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/?p=15678"},"modified":"2015-05-20T11:36:30","modified_gmt":"2015-05-20T11:36:30","slug":"nhpc-gets-environmental-clearance-for-rs-25000-crore-dibang-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infralive.com\/web\/nhpc-gets-environmental-clearance-for-rs-25000-crore-dibang-project\/","title":{"rendered":"NHPC gets environmental clearance for Rs 25,000 crore Dibang project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW DELHI: State-owned NHPC has received environmental clearance for its Dibang multipurpose hydropower cum flood moderation project, worth over Rs 25,000 crore, in Arunachal Pradesh. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate change (MOEF&#038;CC) vide its Order dated May 19, 2015 has accorded environmental clearance for Dibang Multipurpose project (2880 MW) subject to certain conditions stated in the aforesaid order,&#8221; NHPC Ltd said in a BSE filing today. <\/p>\n<p>Dibang Multipurpose Project is a hydropower cum flood moderation scheme proposed on Dibang River in Lower Dibang Valley District of Arunachal Pradesh. <\/p>\n<p>The dam site is located about 1.5 km upstream of the confluence of Ashu Pani and Dibang rivers and about 43 km from Roing, District Headquarter. <\/p>\n<p>The project would moderate flood in the areas downstream of the Dibang Dam during the entire monsoon period to the extent of 3000 cumecs. <\/p>\n<p>All North Eastern and Eastern states would be beneficiaries of this project.
