Singapore Airlines plans to introduce Airbus A350-900 medium haul aircraft on the Kolkata-Singapore sector. The new aircraft will replace the existing Airbus A330-300.
“The inaugural service SQ517 will depart from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport on June 3, 2019. The new aircraft will initially operate a daily service from June 3 to June 8, 2019. From June 10, 2019, Singapore Airlines will operate four weekly scheduled services on the Airbus A350 aircraft type,” the airline’s media statement stated. Combined with its regional wing – SilkAir, the carrier offers a daily evening departure service from Kolkata to Singapore
