The state government will hand over the airstrip of Rewa airport and Datia to the Airport Authority of India (AAI). Rewa’s airport will be given on lease for 99 years. This proposal will be presented to the cabinet for a final decision.
After this, there will be a contract between AAI and the state aviation department. Similarly, it is proposed to hand over the airstrip of Datia to AAI. Its proposal will also be brought in the cabinet. Datia airstrip will be given to AAI only for operations.
Its ownership will remain with the state government. The state government will use the airstrip under the Regional Air Connectivity Scheme. That is, the flight of small planes will be operated for the passengers from this airstrip.
