PATIALA: The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited’s (PSPCL) enforcement teams have imposed the fine on around 117 consumers for power theft and unauthorized use of electricity.
The discom inposed around 44.8 lakh fine on these consumers.
The enforcement teams of Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Patiala circles along with the police officials have launched a massive drive to check the menace of powr theft.
PSPCL spokesman said that joint raids were conducted on the premises of more than 900 consumers of different categories by the enforcement teams of PSPCL in Lehragaga, Moonak, Rampura phul, Mansa, Raikot, Bhai Bhakta, Nakodar, Amarkot and Tarn Taran areas.
