After getting an approval from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for creating an alternative route to the Jhuriwala dumping ground, the Panchkula Municipal Corporation today claimed that it would clear the garbage piled up in several parts of the city for the past several days soon.
The regular clearance of garbage was stopped after the unpaved road towards the dumping ground started caving in and its surface turned swampy due to the heavy rain, making it difficult for garbage vehicles to commute.
