Guwhati: A female staff of Indigo Airlines posted at the Lengpui airport in Aizawl, who helped Mizoram Police seize Methamphetamine (Crystal Meth drugs) worth over Rs 25.49 crore from two Myanmar nationals and ammunition from a passenger from Manipur, was rewarded on Thursday.
Mizoram Director General of Police Anil Shukla on Thursday rewarded H T Vanlalruati, an executive security at Indigo airlines, with Rs 5,000 and a letter of appreciation.
Mizoram Police on Thursday said Vanlalruati had detected 10 packets of suspected drugs weighing 10.2 kg with an estimated value of Rs 25,494,000 during the screening of check-in baggage at the Indigo screening point on October 3.
