The Centre has granted approval for the upgradation of 108 roads in Uttarakhand under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh issued the approval letter on Friday (February 16).
Enhancement of 108 roads
The project involves the enhancement of 108 roads, with a combined length of 1,197.207 km in Uttarakhand, at an estimated cost of Rs 967.73 crore under PMGSY-III. Of this amount, the Centre will contribute Rs 803.85 crore, while the state government will bear the remaining Rs 163.88 crore.
