The Centre focuses on cooperative federalism and considers development of states as the source of India’s development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday, on a day he flagged off Kerala first Vande Bharat train between state capital Thiruvananthapuram and Kasargod.
He also inaugurated the Kochi water metro project and laid the foundation for a digital science park and various railway projects in the state.
Keeping with the federalism theme, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, “If the Union and state governments work together with dedication, we can achieve wonders in the railways sector in Kerala. Let us make the development of Kerala a touchstone of cooperative federalism in future.”
