BENGALURU: Taking lessons from the past, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) is building a combined station at Iblur on Outer Ring Road.
“Iblur will have a single station for two Metro lines: Phase 2A (Outer Ring Road: Central Silk Board-KR Puram) and Phase 3A (36km Sarjapur-Hebbal). It will be a combined/monolithic structure unlike the RV Road station (interchange of Green and Yellow Lines). The design of the station is being finalised,” said BMRCL managing director Anjum Parwez.
The interchange station at Iblur will help ORR commuters reach CBD areas such as Town Hall, Central College, Wilson Garden, Cunningham Road, etc.
