The farm house plots were allotted at an average of Rs 3,390 per sqm, compared to the basic price of Rs 12,814 to Rs 32,403 per sqm fixed by the Noida Authority in other cases of allotments. When an unsuccessful applicant of the above Farm House plots approached the Allahabad High Court, the court found the whole process dubious and directed the registrar to put the allocation of FarmHouses Scheme case before a larger bench in the form of a PIL. Relevant part of the May 29, 2017 order passed by a bench of Justices Sangeeta Chandra and VK Shukla has been reproduced in box-A at pg 22-23. This PIL matter is pending. On August 31, 2018, the court had ordered the Noida Authority to make all the 157 allottees as parties to the petition. The State of Uttar Pradesh through the Principal Secretary, Industrial Development has also been made party in this matter. The last hearing took place on May 30, 2022. But interesting part is that all the parties involved in this PIL matter are in favour of allocating plots, and there is none opposing it.
