As many as seven passengers reported minor sprain injuries Delhi-Sydney Air India flight encountered severe turbulence mid-air leaving several passengers injured on Tuesday. There were 224 passengers onboard the aircraft.
The injured passengers received medical assistance on arrival at Sydney airport, however, no passenger was hospitalised. The Air India flight ( AI 302) had taken off from Delhi at 2.43 pm on Tuesday and landed in Sydney at 7.10 am Wednesday after an almost 12-hour flight (all timings local), which had encountered severe turbulence mid air.
