As part of annual revision of toll prices across the country, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has hiked the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway toll price by 22 per cent which will come into effect from Saturday. Incidentally, the hike was announced just 19 days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the 118-km expressway.
In the revised list, cars taking the road will have to pay Rs 165 for a single journey and Rs 250 if they are returning the same day. After the opening of the second stretch, the toll fee for cars, jeeps, and vans may rise to Rs 300. Project director B T Sridhar told The Indian Express that every year toll price is revised considering the inflation.
