The centre is keen on replacing an outdated old coal based thermal power plant at Talcher in Odisha but the state Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is creating roadblocks in giving clearances for the last 15 months. In a letter dated Sep 14, 2018 by RK Singh, minister of state for power to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik suggested that the “opportunity not be missed”.
