NEW DELHI: Even as crude oil rates continue to rally above $65 per barrel, the prices of petrol and diesel were today increased only marginally by 7 paise and 6 paise, respectively. The prices were similarly increased yesterday by 6 paise for petrol and 5 paise for diesel.
A litre of petrol today costs ₹70.46 in Delhi, ₹76.10 in Mumbai, ₹72.78 in Bengaluru, ₹73.14 in Chennai, ₹71.31 in Gurgaon, ₹70.35 in Noida and ₹72.57 in Kolkata. Diesel, on the other hand, costs ₹65.73 a litre in Delhi, ₹68.83 in Mumbai, ₹67.90 in Bengaluru, ₹69.44 in Chennai, ₹65.47 in Gurgaon, ₹64.94 in Noida and ₹67.51 in Kolkata.
Since the beginning of this month, the price of petrol has fallen by 48 paise and that of diesel by 2 paise.
